Provides
greater and constant power over longer distances - 400 to 600 feet from the
power source

120 and 240 volt, voltage or current drop occurs at 2% per 100' ~ not so with
480 volt

voltage drops, amp draw increases:

Dumb
machines (that do not have electronics, such as a vacuum), continue to draw
amperage

Soon
... the clogged filters cause the motors to overheat which leads
to tripped circuits and premature motor damage

For
longer cable lengths (up to 600') and cleaner, more consistent power, 480 volt is always best
