- #1 property of an activated charcoal is to draw or attract airborne dust and bacteria molecules
- charcoal filters even when the respirator is not being worn continues to attract dust, bacteria and moisture which prematurely contaminates the filer's hygiene and shortens its life
GVS Synthetic HESPA Filter Media
- ensures high filtration protection and low breathing resistance to assure less fatigue for the user
- pleats on the filter increase the filter's surface area to capture at least 99.97% of 0.3 micron airborne particles without increasing its physical size
- moisture resistant
P100 Rating: captures 99.97% of 0.3 micron airborne particles and is strongly resistant to oil mist -- from asbestos, silica, spreading of insecticides by spraying, spores, bacteria, you can't do any better than a P100 rated filter.

GVS Filters: Outlasts Competition by 20, 50 even 100 Times Longer!

Elipse filters do not have any activated charcoal which, by its nature, attracts any type of airborne particle like a magnate:
- Elipse filters are shipped installed in the mask
- Competitive masks have to sale their filters in a separate, sealed bag to prevent the activated charcoal "from working"
- Elipse filters can be left exposed to the air (on a work bench) for years and they will not attract nor absorb dust particles.
Activated Charcoal Filters (used in 3M, Draeger, Honeywell, MSA, North, others) - when exposed to the open air, whether the filter is installed in a respirator or not, are absorbing airborne dust particles and thereby compromising their "intended" life.
Bonus: Elipse P100 filters are water resistant. They can be used for wet sawing or around water or in wet conditions, charcoal filters cannot.
