Main filter is NOT exposed and unprotected from the damage on incoming debris, as with the following filter systems:

The above filters are immediately compromised, CFM instantly drops and continues to decline until the filter is manually cleaned. FACT: Once debris has caked itself deep inside a cartridge filter's pleats it has to be manually removed - this does not happen to the filter in a Cyclone Any pleated cartridge filter gets compromised and damaged from moist, sticky debris - Cyclones prevent it.
