• No electronics or filter cleaning mechanism

• Maintenance is minimal to zero:  Without a pre-filter there isn't any filter cleaning or replacements.

• Less Energy Consumption:  air pulse filter cleaning systems use air bursts, through the filter, to dislodge the accumulation of debris on and inside the pleats of a filter.  Overtime, the porous filter becomes so blocked and impregnated that the removable of debris becomes less effective and amperage draw ensues.

• Powerful, Sustained Suction:  With no porous filter to blind and increase amp draw, suction performance does not diminish.

• Filer Efficiency Rating:  the design of the Cyclone is so effective and efficient, the two (2) HEPA filters may never have to be replaced.  With cyclonic separation preventing over 99% of the dust from reaching the secondary filters, the HEPA filters are only collecting the absolute finest matter.

FILTER CLEANING - A Costly & Unhealthy Exercise:  the routine cleaning & replacement of a pre-filter in an air pulse dust extractor is unhealthy, unsafe and costly.

Cyclonic Separation vs. Pre-Filter:  Both are completely exposed to the onslaught of incoming debris:

1. Size Matters:  Because of the size limitation of the dust extractor, the surface area of the pre-filter isn't large enough to handle the volume dust that's being vacuumed.  Therefore, the pre-filter and has to be thoroughly and regularly cleaned (approximately every 7 - 10 minutes.)

2. As the onslaught continues, the moisture content in the debris causes the powders to cake and impregnate themselves deep into the fibers of the filter.

3. If not thoroughly and regularly cleaned, a block filter could fail and eventually collapse from the suction pressure. 

CYCLONE MODULE:  Like a pre-filter, the cyclone module is completely exposed to the onslaught of incoming debris.  The difference:

1. Made of steel:  Cannot blind, become impregnated, is 100% washable (but not necessary.)

2. Vacuum Massive Amounts of Anything:  powders, sharp objects, sticky terrazzo dust, moist debris, etc. - nothing with compromising the life or effectiveness of the cyclone.

4. Sustained Suction:  Experience no suction drop, the motors and 20 amp circuit operate without overheating.

5. Superior Cyclone & HEPA Filter Life:  Years later, the cyclone and HEPA filters will still perform like new.

OSHA SILICA DUST REGULATION:

• As per the regulation, it is the employers responsibility (not the manufacturers) that the dust extractor operates and is maintained according to the manufacturers' instructions for minimizing dust emissions.

• Cleaning a porous filter is a messy job:  Consult the owners manual of your dust extractor, but not all filters are washable and using an air compressor (besides being unsafe), is not allowed as per the OSHA Silica Dust Rule.
