1. What is a Crack Chasing V-Blade?

A crack chasing V-blade is a specialty diamond blade designed specifically to follow existing cracks in concrete and enlarge them into a controlled V-shaped groove.

Rather than attempting to repair a narrow, irregular crack as it exists, the V-blade allows the contractor to open and reshape the crack into a defined channel that can be properly prepared for repair.

THE V-SHAPE IS THE DIFFERENCE.

The blade's V-shaped diamond configuration naturally follows the path of an existing crack while producing a wider opening at the surface and a narrower point at the bottom. This creates a controlled groove rather than an irregular crack.

2. Why Do Concrete Cracks Need To Be Repaired?
MANY CONTRACTORS DON'T REALIZE WHY THESE BLADES EXISTS.

A concrete crack is rarely a perfectly straight, uniform opening. As concrete moves, settles, shrinks or experiences repeated loading, cracks can develop into irregular paths with loose or damaged concrete along their edges.

Simply filling the crack does not necessarily address the damaged material surrounding it.

The V-blade follows the existing crack and removes damaged material, transforming an irregular crack into a defined V-shaped groove.
